Atrium Health is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Virtual Care team in Wadesboro, NC. Wadesboro is located less than an hour southeast of Charlotte, NC. Great location for those who live or want to live in one of the following suburbs of Charlotte: Matthews, Indian Trial, Monroe, Waxhaw - all up and coming neighborhoods with beautiful downtowns and cheaper cost of living. 

This position is not a remote position. This position will be based out of the Anson Hospital with a virtual component.

Highlights of this role:

  • $10,000 sign bonus with 2 year payback period
  • Location: Virtual role, based at Anson Hospital in Wadesboro, NC.
  • Work schedule: day shift, 7 on/7 off. 
  • In-person rounding and virtual admissions with virtual physician supervision.
  • Short days to ensure great work/life balance.


Nurse Practitioner

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required. 
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse required. 
  • Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required. 
  • ACNP, AGACNP board certification preferred based population served.


Physician Assistant

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master's Degree preferred. 
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
