The University of Nebraska at Omaha and The Grace Abbott School of Social Work have a strong commitment toward achieving diversity among faculty, staff and students. The School invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant professor. We offer the B.S.S.W. and M.S.W. degrees and have strong commitments and investment in the areas of Social Justice, Child Welfare and Gerontology. We offer dual degrees in Social Work and Criminal Justice, Public Administration and Social Work, and Social Work and Public Health. Teach advanced generalist and clinical graduate courses. Serve as advisor to students and on various committees.<br>Extensive practice background with children and youth and a strong interest in child welfare and poverty. An interest in working with multi-disciplinary teams with schools, policy centers, etc. is desired.<br>Candidates who have licensure and/or can obtain licensure in clinical social work with practice experience in areas such as mental health, substance abuse, children and family services will be highly regarded. Candidate should also have experience in developing and teaching distance education courses.
