<p></p><h4><strong>🌟</strong><strong> Join Our Team: Assistant Youth Development Worker</strong></h4><p><strong>Location:</strong> Medway, Kent<br><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Fixed Term until March 2026 with the opportunity to extend<br><strong>Hours: </strong>Flexible, including evenings and weekends<br><strong>Salary:</strong> £29,791<br><strong>Closing Date:</strong> 19th September ‘25</p><p><strong>Make a Difference in Young Lives</strong></p><p>Medway Council Youth Service are developing an exciting new Wrap Around Support Project and we are looking for a Assistant Youth Development Worker to join our dedicated team.</p><p>This innovative project supports young people working with Medway Children’s Services, age 11-18 yrs, helping to reduce risk and vulnerability while promoting personal growth, resilience, and positive engagement with education, home life, and the wider community. </p><p><strong>Your Role</strong></p><ul><li>Build trusted relationships with young people to reduce risk and promote stability.</li><li>Deliver tailored support before, during, and after school, including evenings and weekends.</li><li>Strengthen home and educational placements through consistent, meaningful engagement.</li><li>Improve access to out-of-school activities that develop personal, social, and relational skills.</li><li>To make sure the young person voice is heard and they understand at Children matter in Medway.</li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>Significant experience working with vulnerable young people.</li><li>Knowledge of issues such as gang involvement, criminal/sexual exploitation, and care system challenges.</li><li>Ideally, a Level 2 or 3 youth work qualification (or equivalent)—but we welcome diverse training and experience backgrounds.</li><li>You will hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Medway?</strong></p><p>Medway is a vibrant and diverse area in the South East of England, offering excellent transport links, green spaces, and a strong sense of community.
