We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a remote, part-time or contract basis. This role is responsible for invoicing, bookkeeping, and payroll processing while ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and experienced with QuickBooks and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and Excel
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process and reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and assist with budgeting
  • Perform month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Monitor financial data and investigate discrepancies
  • Conduct regular reviews to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Support external audits and tax filings as needed
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and payroll information

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or 4 years experience in a related field.
  • Certification or advanced training in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus!
  • Experience with Dynamics CRM (plus)
  • Familiarity with additional accounting or ERP software
  • Experience with financial analysis and forecasting
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax compliance
