Position Overview:

As a Clinical Support Nurse (RN), you will work in an ambulatory clinic setting using a systematic approach to nursing practice that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Voyage Healthcare policies.

The RN collaborates closely with providers and care teams to coordinate patient care, delegate responsibilities when appropriate, and promote patient safety. This role is primarily for nurse visits, administering immunizations/injections, assisting with procedures, patient education, and triaging symptom-based walk-in patients.

In addition, you will assess patient needs over the phone, provide appropriate medical guidance, and determine the level of care needed based on symptoms and established protocols. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate support.

In this role, you will be instrumental in helping patients access care efficiently while ensuring their medical needs are addressed safely and effectively.

Hourly Range: $34.00 - $41.00, based on years of relevant experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday between 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Deliver ambulatory nursing care across multiple clinic specialties in accordance with licensure and training
  • Assist with medical procedures, treatments, immunizations, and medication administration
  • Perform telephone and in-person triage, care coordination, and case management
  • Educate and counsel patients on health conditions, treatments, and preventive care
  • Accurately document patient care and communications in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and perform CPR when required
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies, clinical protocols, and OSHA safety standards
  • Perform additional nursing duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program
  • Current Minnesota RN licensure in good standing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret and convey medical information to patients and staff
  • Strong organization skills with and ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to customer service standards and patient-centered care
