Job Title: Online Quran Tutor (Freelance)

About NURA Academy

Founded in 2025, NURA Academy is an online Quran learning platform offering interactive Quran classes for all ages, with a special focus on children. Our teaching approach is relaxed, visually engaging, and paced according to each student’s ability. We help students read the Quran fluently, understand tajweed, and practice good manners and character.

In addition to Quran reading classes, we also focus on fun and interactive memorization training for children, including educational games and special modules based on each student’s level. Our mission is to make Quran learning more accessible, enjoyable, and relevant to today’s generation.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Quran classes online based on the syllabus provided, with a schedule discussed with students/parents.
  • Maintain proper manners, language, and appearance during class sessions.
  • Update student reading records in Google Sheets after each class.
  • Submit at least one (1) class recording video every 2 months for quality monitoring.
  • Send monthly progress reports to parents.
  • Communicate professionally and politely with parents, students, and management.

Requirements

  • Experience teaching Iqra’ and Quran to children.
  • Educational background in Quran Studies (minimum Diploma; Degree/Master/PhD preferred).
  • Child-friendly, creative, patient, and skilled in handling children’s classes.
  • Proficient in Quran reading, tajweed, and basic English & Arabic.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Female candidates are preferred due to the nature of the classes (21–35 years old recommended).
  • Able to teach online from home with a stable internet connection.
  • Bonus: Confident speaking in front of the camera.

Job Details

  • Position: Freelance Quran Tutor
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Time: 8.00 PM – 10.00 PM (Malaysia Time)
  • Allowance: RM200–RM500/month (based on number of students)

Contract Period

  • 3-month probation contract.
  • Renewal to 6 or 12 months depending on performance.
