As our new Motion Graphics Designer, it will be your job to oversee the quality and progress of motion graphics content that educates, inspires, and entertains current and future ClickUp users! You will collaborate with our Creative Team at all levels of the production pipeline, spanning from early ideation through final output and versioning. A perfect candidate is composed of several traits. You have an excellent eye for creating beautiful motion graphic visuals. On top of being highly creative, you also have a strong technical understanding of effective video workflows and file specifications required for different mediums. You are ready to be challenged and be the go-to person for raising our video content from good to excellent through fine-tuning and precise attention to detail. ClickUp's Motion Graphics Designer will understand what makes GREAT content. You understand the balance between following brand guidelines and being able to infuse creative flare into iterations without going too far "outside the lines". Hearing the terms "Graph Editor" and "expressions" instills excitement; not intimidation. And you have a POV on how motion can be used to bring a story to life. The Role: Work with ClickUp's Video and Motion Graphics Team to brainstorm, design, storyboard, and animate innovative motion graphic content for both live-action footage and stand-alone motion graphics videos Craft dynamic content for both educational and entertainment purposes Simultaneously manage multiple projects at various stages of the production pipeline. Assist in establishing internal creative and production processes. Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Product, Sales, and Coaching teams to create video content that distills complex concepts into easily digestible content Work with UI and Graphic Designers to adapt static designs into motion graphics Produce final outputs in an assortment of video-based deliverables ranging in file types and aspect ratios Qualifications: 4+ years of professional experience designing and animating motion graphics content Expert in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator as well as experience with industry-standard plug-ins (specifically for After Effects) Professional grade proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and Media Encoder Strong compositing background integrating animations into live-action environments (rotoscoping, set extensions, screen replacements/tracking, etc.) Experience designing storyboards specifically for 2D motion graphics projects Experience prepping exports for a variety of media formats spanning from broadcast to custom digital billboard signage and everything in between Have basic audio editing and mixing capabilities. You will understand audio workflows and ideally have experience working with audio professionals. A keen interest in motion graphics and a POV on trends in typography, color, and motion. Knowledge of Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook, and other social-based upload and sharing efforts. A great eye for detail and a proactive approach to addressing those details Ability to thrive in our fast-paced, ever-changing environment Ability to work equally well independently with little direction and in a tightly collaborative environment Desirable: Power user of project management software and other productivity tools to understand our customers' pain points.
