Designs, develops, and supports data and reporting solutions, including report conversions and enhancements, data investigation, and quality validation. Contributes to database and data warehousing activities as needed (e.g., SQL/SAS development, Teradata, ETL concepts, and data provisioning) while ensuring appropriate handling of sensitive healthcare data. Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop, enhance, and automate reporting solutions and programs to meet customer reporting deliverables</li><li>Use analytics and statistical tools (e.g., SQL, SAS) to produce, validate, and reconcile reporting outputs</li><li>Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements; translate needs into clear reporting specifications and solutions</li><li>Investigate, document, and resolve data issues and inconsistencies; partner with the team to maintain strong data quality</li><li>Perform data and process analysis to troubleshoot production issues and drive timely resolution and prevention</li><li>Execute and/or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and sign-off support</li><li>Build and maintain scalable, automated data pipelines and workflows (as applicable) to enable repeatable reporting and analysis</li><li>Deliver project and development work accurately and on time, remain adaptable to changing priorities, and proactively communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to support informed decision making</li><li>Serve as a resource to others by providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and coaching, as appropriate</li><li>Participate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions to align priorities and resolve issues</li><li>Leverage available tools and applications to streamline processes, reduce turnaround time, and improve efficiency</li></ul> You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years of healthcare experience</li><li>3+ years of report production and development experience</li><li>3+ years of experience with Base SAS / SAS Macro, SAS/SQL and PC SAS</li><li>1+ years of experience with relational database systems (e.g., DB2, Oracle, Teradata)</li><li>User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience</li><li>Experience gathering business requirements from end users</li><li>Excellent time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>Experience with Cloud based environments</li><li>Experience with Linux or SAS Enterprise Guide</li><li>UDW, Stratus or Galaxy Shared Data Warehouse knowledge</li><li>Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance</li><li>Time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate</li><li>Professional customer service skills; tact and discretion with confidential information; able to articulate guidelines and negotiate toward win/win solutions</li><li>Ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively identify solutions </li></ul>*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment.
