Description:
Looking for Automation Anywhere Expert To provide technical support and guidance on the establishment of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) governance, software robot development, and maintenance recommendations. In 2024 the Office began identifying processes that would be good candidates for RPA in order to develop software robots (“bots”) to perform qualifying tasks. A number of tasks were reviewed and analyzed to: 1) determine feasibility based on the fit for automation; 2) identify the effort required to automate them; and 3) establish a method of prioritization. One of the processes was selected to move forward with development as part of this project. The Issuing Office stood up Automation Anywhere environments in order to develop, maintain and execute bots. This project is: A. to ensure internal policies and procedures for RPA Governance are sufficient for and align with the Issuing Office’s mission and needs; B. to document the selected process in full; C. to develop a bot for its LDV process (high-level description attached) to be maintained by the Issuing Office in Automation Anywhere; D. weekly monitoring reports of the bot’s performance and updates to the bot in order to maximize efficiency and results; E. and to transfer knowledge required for bot development in Automation Anywhere so that the Issuing Office is able to develop future bots independently or with minimal consultation. Details: The purpose of this project is to support the Office’s capability to independently develop software robots within its Automation Anywhere environments. The primary means of completing this will be the development of a bot for the specified task followed by an explanation of the development process and decisions made as well as best practices for RPA. With this project the Issuing Office is seeking support: A. to ensure internal policies and procedures for RPA Governance are sufficient for and align with Office mission and needs. B. to document the procedures for the LDV process in full – high-level description: a. Access SAP GUI and open specified transaction b. Add column headers to the right of populated fields on specified worksheet on existing Excel file. c. Select invoices identified on specified worksheet. d. For each invoice document i. Based on detail of dashboard notes (partially standardized), edit the document in SAP or update Excel file. ii. Update Excel file if specific blocks or funding are identified. iii. Update Excel file if it wasn’t updated based on a or b above. e. Access SAP GUI and open specified transaction. f. Select invoices based on review done in step d. g. Complete mass change. h. Mark as Free for Payment. i. Update Excel file with result. j. Send email to team with notification of outcome. C. to develop a software robot (bot) for its LDV process to be maintained by the Office in Automation Anywhere D. to monitor the bot’s performance with weekly reports and updates to the bot in order to maximize efficiency and results E. to transfer knowledge required for bot development in Automation Anywhere. Through the following deliverables: A. RPA Governance Report – Based on RPA best practices and provided information regarding the mission, vision and goals of the office, report on recommendations for updates to existing Robotic Process Automation data governance policies specific to the Client. B. LDV Detailed Procedures – Provide a detailed description of steps to be automated for the LDV process. This should include detail down to the mouse-click and keystroke. C. LDV Bot – Deliver a fully developed and tested automation script for the LDV process in the Office of the Budget’s Automation Anywhere environment. D. Weekly Monitoring Reports – Submit weekly monitoring reports on the daily execution of the LDV bot including results and performance as well as modifications to the bot as needed to ensure successful implementation. E. Knowledge Transfer – Perform knowledge transfer of overall RPA concepts and walkthrough of the LDV bot and its development along with supporting documentation.
