Job Description:

  • Obtain new business and customer expansion sales opportunities from Executive-level buyers and influencers
  • Focus on Workiva’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) suite for the Corporate Commercial team
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales, Solution Specialists, and Partnerships to generate qualified opportunities
  • Present to customers: utilize needs analysis to deliver compelling demonstrations of the Workiva platform
  • Handle objections and remove obstacles to gain commitment
  • Close sales by guiding the sales process and demonstrating value propositions
  • Regularly update customer relationship management tools and report customer contacts
  • Provide consistent and accurate forward-looking sales forecasts through pipeline assessment
  • Strategically plan and execute sales strategy and prioritize selling activities
  • Gather internal support and optimize internal resources to pursue accounts
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of Workiva solutions through ongoing training

Requirements:

  • 4 years of sales experience in a related role, selling to Executive-level buyers in enterprise technology, Software as a Service (SaaS) or similar complex solution sales
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in a related field
  • Understanding of the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model (preferred)
  • Ability to demonstrate complex software applications (preferred)
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand complex business issues (preferred)
  • Executive presence; ability to communicate at the most senior level (preferred)
  • Ability to identify and understand the power of influencers versus buyers and navigate nuances during the sales cycle (preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple complex sales cycles simultaneously (preferred)
  • Ability to negotiate pricing with a focus on retaining value (preferred)
  • Capability for achieving (and exceeding) sales quota targets (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for team and corporate meetings
  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely
