The Assoc Glob ULD Planner role involves assisting in the analysis, development, coordination, publication, and evaluation of the management of unit load devices.

Essential Functions

  • Assisting in the assessment of the impact of system form requirements against operating requirements and service scenarios

  • Analyzing and implementing projects to improve productivity, increase revenue, and enhance customer service using cost-effective alternatives that support the global linehaul system

  • Gathering information on long-range schedules and facility expansion requirements to plan for capital budget requests

  • Reconciling documentation and providing monthly expense recaps and quality control

  • Assisting in the analysis of asset requirements and establishing monthly plans for unit load devices to field and sort locations

  • Developing, producing, coordinating, and communicating linehaul system asset plans through load plans and controls within established timelines

  • Providing technical training to field personnel through workshops, seminars, and individual training in unit load device operations and asset balancing

  • Gathering information on asset prototypes considering operational and system requirements to assist in their assessment

  • Gathering information on operational needs to assist in developing linehaul system load plans that provide system improvements

  • Reviewing prioritization of repair and production schedules based on long-term goals

  • Planning, coordinating, and communicating the movement of unit load devices to ensure asset availability in the global linehaul system

  • Ensuring appropriate unit load device usage to maintain system reliability and high service levels

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

No experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Experience in scheduling, planning, analysis, or package movement in trucking and/or flight operations.

Knowledge of FedEx features of service and operating systems.

Analytical and communication skills, PC skills, and MS Office experience.

Job Conditions
