Latitude Legal is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with at least 3+ years of law firm experience to join a national law firm on a <strong>full-time, engagement (contract) basis</strong>. While this is a <strong>fully remote</strong> role, the candidate should be available to work West Coast hours for the firm's Southern California office.<br><br>Candidates must be able to handle all paralegal responsibilities within the litigation life cycle including assisting with filing of documents and drafting discovery and pleadings. Candidates must have experience handling California state and federal cases. Candidates must excel at working in a high energy environment with great attention to detail and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Candidates must possess the demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Draft / review / file litigation documents including pleadings, case initiation documents, and discovery requests/responses.</li><li>Manage litigation calendars, ensuring accurate scheduling and deadline tracking in compliance with court rules.</li><li>Interact professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.</li><li>Maintain and organize case files using document management systems</li><li>Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and logistics.</li><li>Support e-discovery efforts using relevant platforms and tools.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements of the Litigation Paralegal (Remote and Full-Time Contract Position):<br><br></strong><ul><li>3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with demonstrated expertise in Federal and California Courts.</li><li>Strong understanding of court procedures and calendaring requirements across jurisdictions.</li><li>Proficiency in electronic filing systems (CM/ECF and California courts).</li><li>Experience with document management platforms (NetDocuments preferred).</li><li>Familiarity with e-discovery platforms and processes.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.</li><li>Outstanding references required<br><br></li></ul><strong>Position Details of the Civil Litigation Paralegal (Remote and Part-Time Contract Position)<br><br></strong><ul><li>Type of role: Contract</li><li>Schedule: Full-Time (up to 40 hours per week)</li><li>Location: Completely Remote (candidates can be located anywhere in the United States but must have experience handling California cases and available to work West Coast hours)<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation<br><br></strong><ul><li>Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 or more when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position). </li><li>Benefits: In addition to salary, Latitude Engaged Professionals are W2 employees of Latitude and are eligible for full benefits when working in roles for 20 hours per week, including a Qualified 401k plan.
