<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h3><b>Job Description</b></h3><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><h2><b><span>Overview</span></b></h2><p></p><p>We are seeking <b>a Process Engineering Lead Energy – Commercial Nuclear – Remote.  This remote position is based out of our Oak Ridge, TN office.</b></p><p></p><h2><b><span>Your role</span></b></h2><p></p><ul><li><p>AtkinsRéalis US Nuclear is the subsidiary of AtkinsRéalis focused on serving government and commercial clients within the Nuclear sector in the United States. </p></li><li><p>We are focused on being recognized as a premier nuclear solutions company in the United States, delivering engineering, operations, and project management services.</p></li><li><p>The US Commercial Nuclear business unit serves both legacy and new build nuclear clients who are designing, building, upgrading, operating and maintaining nuclear power generation and fuel cycle assets. </p></li><li><p>We are a growing business, building on the foundation of our US government fuel cycle business, our international position as an Original Equipment Manufactor (OEM) and nuclear reactor technology provider, and our world-wide nuclear new build and legacy nuclear fleet maintenance experience.</p></li><li><p>We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer to join our team, helping to direct the execution of Small Modular Reactor and nuclear fuel cycle facility projects.</p></li><li><p>The Lead Process Engineer serves as a recognized expert on process engineering for nuclear facilities within AtkinsRéalis US Commercial Nuclear. </p></li><li><p>Takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions to solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. </p></li><li><p>Works independently with guidance only in the most challenging situations. </p></li><li><p>Leads functional teams (e.g., process engineering discipline) for projects meeting milestones and objectives. </p></li><li><p>Regarded as an expert in their discipline, with in-depth expertise in their discipline and broad knowledge of other disciplines within Nuclear facility design, construction, operations, and maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Directs research and solves unprecedented technical problems of considerable scope and complexity, the solution of which may have a far-reaching impact on extensive technical activities of the company.</p></li><li><p>Receives general administrative direction.</p></li><li><p>Executes independent decisions and resolves important questions concerning area of expertise, being recognized as a technical authority in his/her field of expertise, on a regional or national basis, both within and outside the company.</p></li><li><p>Provides oversight and supervision of the technical work of senior professionals.</p></li><li><p>Interfaces with senior technical managers and all levels of management throughout the firm.</p></li><li><p>Provides technical direction throughout the company within field of expertise.</p></li><li><p>Establishes technical criteria on projects related to field of expertise and provides technical input/direction to project managers and team members.</p></li><li><p>Represents/defends company's technical work to client, regulatory agencies and others.</p></li><li><p>Participates in technical quality assurance reviews.</p></li><li><p>Assists management in conducting project review audits involving specialty discipline.</p></li><li><p>Coordinates with operational managers to identify staffing needs, deficiencies and opportunities for recruitment in technical specialty area.</p></li><li><p>Assists in the identification, screening, recruitment and orientation of qualified candidates to fill key vacancies within specialty field.</p></li><li><p>Leads initiatives with considerable risk and complexity; develops the related strategy for execution.</p></li><li><p>Solves unique and complex problems with broad impact on the business; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop unprecedented solutions.</p></li><li><p>Impacts the direction and resource allocation for initiatives, projects or services; works within general functional policies.</p></li><li><p>Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.</p></li><li><p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><b><span>About you</span></b></h2><p></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Nuclear Engineering.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of fifteen years post-baccalaureate experience.</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills in a challenging, multi-tiered environment.</p></li><li><p>Strong organizational skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to foster and achieve goal alignment among participants with differing interests.</p></li><li><p>Expert knowledge of key NRC regulations, design codes and standards for commercial nuclear facilities required. </p></li><li><p>Expert knowledge in the use of related design software codes, including process simulation software.</p></li><li><p>Senior design professional on Commercial and Department of Energy nuclear reactor projects.</p></li><li><p>Senior design professional on Commercial and Department of Energy nuclear fuel cycle facilities.</p></li><li><p>Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience.</p></li><li><p>Professional Engineering (PE) License required, with ability to be licensed in multiple jurisdictions.</p></li><li><p>Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.</p></li></ul><p></p><h2><b><span>Rewards & benefits</span></b></h2><p></p><p>At AtkinsRéalis, our values—Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, and Excellence—are more than just words.
