We are searching for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our Legal team to, among other tasks, provide dedicated support to the Legal team across regulatory and corporate matters, integrate and operate LegalTech systems into the company, and keep abreast of global developments and trends.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to deep dive into a growing organisation within an exciting industry and it is important to learn as much as possible about Xapo Bank, foster relationships with staff and leave a lasting impression.</p> <p><strong><em>Responsibilities</em></strong></p> <p><strong>Time Management and Team Coordination</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Coordination of the Legal Team members’ workflow and handling the Legal Team software tools and platforms.</li> <li>Maintaining diary systems, arranging and booking meetings.</li> <li>Receiving, distributing and coordinating incoming tasks and requests for Legal Team members.</li> <li>Working as part of the Legal Team to ensure that effective secretarial cover is maintained and work directed to the team is dealt with according to priority.</li> <li>Ensuring work is undertaken effectively, re-allocating tasks as required, liaising with other team members ensuring an even spread of work-flow across departmental teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Record Management</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>To carry out day-to-day tasks such as updating company files, preparing and reviewing documents, and giving legal assistance to other Xapo teams.</li> <li>Attending corporate and team meetings, preparing corporate resolutions, meeting minutes, registers and certificates and other similar corporate items.</li> <li>Handling corporate files, file management and maintaining an effective filing system.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Document Generation and Provision</strong></p> <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Working with the Legal Team on regulatory processes and assisting other Xapo teams with any requests for legal documentation or information, assisting in due diligence and audit procedures, company compliance issues and other specific business legal needs.</li> <li>Assisting in and handling procedures and creating and amending documents pertaining to investors, human resources (HR), the financial department, trademarks, patents, and other similar matters.</li> <li>Assisting the HR Team with legal paperwork production and legal software and legal technological infrastructure existing for that purpose (DocuSign and Ironclad accounts, etc).</li> <li>Monitoring and updating schedules on limitation deadlines.</li> <li>Remaining abreast of global developments with emphasis on the Fintech and Blockchain industries.</li> <li>Participating in on-the-job training.</li> <li>Supporting the degree in Law with a minimum achievement of an upper second-class honours (2:1) or its international equivalent, or have completed a degree of comparable standard that includes modules covering corporate law.</li> <li><strong>Research Proficiency:</strong> Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive research on various subjects, with a keen ability to stay abreast of changes within the legal landscape.</li> <li><strong>Problem Solving Abilities:</strong> Strong problem-solving skills essential for identifying and addressing compliance and financial crime issues, assessing risks, and proposing effective, practical solutions.</li> <li><strong>Adaptability:</strong> Must have the capacity to adapt to evolving regulatory frameworks and organisational priorities efficiently.</li>
