Title: Experiential Marketing & Event Manager
Location: Hybrid, Tampa Bay & St. Petersburg, FL

Position Summary:
The Tampa Bay Times is seeking a strategic and creative events leader to grow and elevate its events portfolio. The Experiential Event Production and Promotions Manager leads end-to-end event production and integrated marketing efforts, delivering high-quality, revenue-driving experiences that engage audiences and meet sponsor objectives. This role partners across the organization and oversees the Event & Marketing Specialist to ensure seamless execution and strong brand alignment.

Responsibilities
:
  • Lead the full lifecycle of high-impact event production from concept through execution and post-event closeout, including creative development, logistics, and on-site management.
  • Design engaging, immersive event experiences, including environments, staging, and interactive elements that enhance audience impact and brand perception.
  • Manage event logistics, timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts to ensure high-quality, cost-effective delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, sponsors, and external partners to align on goals, execution, programming, audience engagement, and sponsorship fulfillment.
  • Own event marketing and promotion strategy by developing and executing integrated campaigns across digital, social, email, print, broadcast and media partnerships, and additional channels to drive attendance and awareness.
  • Oversee event technology and platforms, including A/V, hybrid capabilities, registration tools, and on-site technical production needs.
  • Ensure seamless on-site execution, including run-of-show management, staffing coordination, vendor oversight, and sponsor activations.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, budgets, and outcomes, delivering post-event reporting and insights to inform future strategy and improvements.
  • Supervise and develop the Event & Marketing Specialist, ensuring strong execution across events and promotional campaigns.
  • Set creative and content direction for event communications and written promotions by guiding messaging, positioning, and narrative across channels to ensure campaigns are compelling, audience-focused and results-driven.

Required Qualifications
:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in event production, experiential marketing, or a related field, with a track record of executing complex events.
  • Strong experience in integrated marketing strategy and campaign execution across multiple channels.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with sponsors or revenue-generating events.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-project environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and apply insights to improve future events and campaigns.
  • Familiarity with legal, regulatory and compliance requirements for events, including permits, licensing and health or safety guidelines.
  • This hybrid position requires regular on-site presence.
  • Experience supervising staff or contractors.
