Job Summary:

A Parts warehouse person must be able to perform a wide variety of tasks. Position requires counting, reading, matching numbers and basic computer skills.  Must have ability to obtain forklift certification (We will train) and operate them in a safe manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull parts for retail and wholesale counters as needed.
  • Categorize parts in the appropriate sections of the warehouse.
  • Assist internal customers who need parts pulled for work orders.
  • Receives and stocks incoming parts and merchandise, checks for discrepancies, files claims if necessary.
  • Keeps all areas of warehouse clean and orderly, follows all work and safety rules and procedures.
  • Ensures that parts items are counted accurately, packaged, and shipped to customer per shipping order and standard shipping procedures.
  • Receives, ships, and maintains inventory, fills parts orders and performs other warehouse duties in an accurate, prompt, and safe manner under minimum supervision. 
  • Uses computer terminal to process and ensure accuracy of parts transactions, completes paperwork and records promptly, accurately, and legibly.
  • Work with the Parts Dept to assure the right parts are delivered in a safe manner.
  • Promote parts sales when opportunities arise by delivering flyers/handouts and sharing possible opportunities with Parts team.
  • Must wear seat belt when operating company vehicles.
  • Would be responsible for recording mileage.
  • Inform management of any conditions which may exist on vehicles that you are operating such as dashboard lights, faulty driving lights, wipers, tire pressure, etc.
  • Abide by all driving laws.
  • Assist Parts Dept with other function as time becomes available.
  • May be asked to help with general duties to assist in safety and cleanliness of vehicles and facility.
  • Represent Bentley Truck Services in a professional manner when dealing with customers and the general public.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 2 years Automotive / Truck experience a plus.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to work with inventory, requires stooping, kneeling, stretching, and at time using a small ladder to reach certain locations.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to operate vehicles safely.
  • CDL B would be a plus.
  • Due to driving responsibilities position will require pre-employment and random drug screening and annual MVR check
