SUMMARY: The Warehouse Assistant - Driver is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and pick-up of customer products.  In addition, this person will also assist with general Warehouse duties as needed. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Personally exhibits, recruits and coaches associate consistent with Core Behaviors
  • Responsible for promoting culture of safety
  • Deliver and pick-up customer products in a timely manner
  • Perform daily safety inspections 
  • Verify signatures and appropriate paperwork is collected
  • Notify appropriate supervisory personnel of any discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips
  • Accurately sort, maintain, and stage product
  • Put away stock ensuring proper labeling and placement
  • Receive purchase orders, pick product and package for shipping
  • Check items to be shipped against picking ticket to assure quantities, destinations and routing are correct
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform all work in accordance with ISO processes and procedures


QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Must be proficient with knowledge of routes
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must have knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • None

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  

  • High school diploma required
  • No previous experience is required; 1-3 years' experience is preferred

 

REASONING ABILITY:  

  • Employees follow prescribed path for reasoning and decision making that include routine steps which seldom require changing.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: 

  • Must have valid driver’s license

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

  • Employee is regularly required to speak and hear English, stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. Employees are required to use computers or other equipment.
  • Employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to _55_ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to clearly focus vision.

 

PPE REQUIRED: 

  • Eye protection, hearing protection, foot protection with metatarsal guard, puncture proof gloves.
